The Reimagine Africa 2024 Hackathon took place on March 10th, 2025, following the rescheduling of the main conference. It brought together four teams of secondary school students, each tasked with developing innovative solutions within a limited timeframe.

It was designed to foster resilience, critical thinking, collaboration, and the ability to thrive under pressure. The students’ creativity and determination led to the development of impressive prototypes, which were later showcased at the Reimagine Africa Conference.

Each prototype will be further developed by the teams, with ongoing support from the Reimagine Africa community, toward becoming live, impactful products.

The hackathon experience aimed to equip these future leaders with practical skills and the confidence to refine and scale their ideas for real-world impact.
